The year of 2023 is different for the Jordanian people, a year that has brought with it many moments of joy and happiness. It has been adorned with national and religious occasions, starting with the celebrations of Christmas by our Christian brothers and sisters, which symbolizes the birth of our messenger and beloved Jesus, peace be upon him. It also includes the birthday celebration of our esteemed leader, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein. We have also experienced the joy of the holy month of Ramadan, with the nation adorned in celebration of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. These are the same days when Jordan dons the garments of pride and dignity, celebrating Army Day and commemorating the Battle of Karameh against aggression and the occupier of our beloved land, Palestine. The happiness and joy were further amplified by the engagement of our Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II. In Jordan, we say that in this homeland, which has always been and continues to be a homeland for AL Muhajereen, AL Ansar the persecuted, and those seeking security and peace from all corners of the world, this year will be different. There is a royal vision for the future that invites us to be highly optimistic about what is to come in all fields and domains. Moreover, there is a young Crown Prince who is taking the hand of the youth to build the future of this nation. We say that Jordanians, with all their religious affiliations, are bearers of a universal prophetic message filled with love, goodness, and tolerance for all of humanity. They will be the creators of a civilization and a future characterized by creativity, collaboration, and unity. They are like the jasmine trees whose beautiful fragrance attracts you without the need for searching. They are the descendants of our Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Hashimi, the Trustworthy, and our Master and Messenger, Jesus son of Mary, peace be upon them, who came as a mercy to the worlds. In Jordan, with all the love, camaraderie, intellectual and cultural nobility that we hold within us, which serve as a source of inspiration and bring happiness and comfort, we will reach a state of inner balance. We will become beloved settlers for the whole world, embodying a unique state of unity and solidarity that is impervious to any oppressor or wrongdoing. In this blessed year, with our celebrations filled with the spirit of giving, worship, and gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon us in the land of generosity and love, we say blessed are our martyred brothers and sisters who have enriched the wealth of our nation and Palestine with their pure blood, defending religion, land, and honor. They were united by noble virtues and faith before being Muslims or Christians.
